I came back from this year’s Fancy Food Show in Washington DC inspired and excited for this Holiday season. The mood of the Show was incredibly good – many small retailers have gone out of business with the economy, but those who have survived (like TGG) are prospering and hopeful for 2011 Holiday . At Too Good Gourmet, we too have had to make important and often painful decisions in order to navigate successfully through the past 2 years. It is a time of examination and retrenchment, of looking critically at what you are doing and shedding those things that no longer work. I have been going through this process both personally and in my business over the past year…evaluating every aspect of the company to see where we can either make money or save money. It is a powerful process, and one that forces you to confront things head-on. The result: a stronger, healthier, and (with an added dose of faith and determination) a more successful company!

Reusable for the Holidays
Like many of you, I was taught from an early age not to waste. We have heard for many years that the hardest thing about our product is throwing away the box. With this in mind, we have focused this year on creating a number of cookie packages that are reusable and can be repurposed for a variety of uses. Check out our great cookie tins for Holiday (see below). These are great stocking stuffers or party favors. After the goodies are gone, the tins can be used as paperclip holders, loose buttons, crafting supplies, extra change, or any number of ways around the home or office. I look forward to your feedback on this and any other of our new products for Holiday !

Welcome to my new Blog
Thanks so much for reading my first ever blog post. I'm so excited to share our new Holiday 2011 catalog with you. At Too Good Gourmet, we have been working hard to create new and exciting products and packaging for this season. This year, Too Good Gourmet has experienced several big changes....
My mom and I started Too Good Gourmet in 1998. Now years later, my mom has retired and moved to Seattle to spend time with her other grandchildren. My daughter, Morgan, and I are really going to miss her but know she is happy. Now we have a great place to stay in Bainbridge Island!
At Too Good Gourmet we have also been supremely focused on increasing our fulfillment capabilities and improving our customer service. As with many businesses, TGG has been forced to make difficult decisions and undergo transitions as we work to stay successful in this ever changing economy. My goal with this blog is to share with you some of the challenges we have faced and talk about how we have succeeded and failed along the way.
I look forward to hearing your feedback on our new items for this year. Please do not hesitate to call me directly at 877-850-4663.
